Jonathan García (Tenerife, 1994) is a director and producer currently based in Barcelona. A graduate in Fine Arts from the Universidad de La Laguna, with a Master's in Photography from Escola Grisart, his work moves between observational documentary and fiction, with a constant attentiveness to what people never quite manage to say and yet still express. Sometimes a story simply needs to be told. He has filmed in The Gambia, the Canary Islands, London and Donostia – San Sebastián; the documentary he shot in London has screened at several festivals in Barcelona, and the Donostia film is currently on the festival circuit. His most recent work, El Sol Siempre Sale, begins with his father's lymphoma and its effect on the family.
Whether you have an upcoming film in development, a documentary proposal, or would like to initiate an artistic collaboration with Studio Fractal, feel free to get in touch.
